Climate Impact Partners announces new Chief Financial Officer

Climate Impact Partners, a leading carbon finance organization with more than 25 years’ experience in the voluntary carbon market, announces ShanMae Teo as Chief Financial Officer - unlocking the power of carbon finance to drive the scale and impact of climate action.  

ShanMae has more than 20 years’ experience across a range of different industries, from banking, consumer, media, and technology, to theatre, and has spent the past seven years as CFO – working as a key business partner to CEOs to set and deliver strategic objectives. At Climate Impact Partners she will work alongside the CEO, Sheri Hickok, and the Senior Management Team, to continue the company’s growth and pioneering work in the carbon markets, including its work with investors to develop high-impact opportunities to support the transformation to a low carbon global economy. 

Throughout her career, ShanMae has used her knowledge and experience to develop organizations’ strategic growth plans, including as CFO of the largest global live theatre company, Ambassadors Theatre Group where she expanded the organization via several critical acquisitions. Her most recent role was as CFO to global market research company Third Bridge Group. She has worked as a private equity and venture capital investor at Providence Equity Partners and M/C Venture Partners, focusing on consumer, media, and technology sectors, and in roles in strategy consulting and investment banking, including at Bain & Company.   

She is currently an independent non-executive board director of Moonpig Group PLC and a trustee of the urban opera company, Opera Holland Park.

Shan Mae’s appointment follows that of new Chief Executive Officer Sheri Hickock. Both join an experienced executive team including Managing Director, Global Client Solutions Saskia Feast, Director of Global Sourcing Dan Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer Eugene Doyle, Chief Marketing Officer Rebecca Fay, Chief Commercial Officer, Americas Eric Bennett, Global Director of Project Management Rachael Nutter, and General Counsel Erika Anderson.
