Project Partners

Partner with us to develop, finance and scale high-quality climate projects that deliver measurable benefits for climate, nature and communities.

Great climate projects start with strong local knowledge, trusted relationships and a clear understanding of what works on the ground.
We combine that with nearly three decades of carbon market expertise, access to finance, established corporate buyers, and our own project development capability. We can put experienced people in the field, work directly with local partners and communities, and lead project development from early feasibility and design through implementation, monitoring and verification.
We are selective about the projects and partners we work with. Every opportunity is assessed for quality, integrity, impact and long-term potential.
Strong projects are built on strong partnerships. Our Project Partner Charter sets out how we work together to strengthen partner relationships, grow impact and build long-term value.

You understand your communities, landscapes and local context. We listen, recognise your central role and build on that knowledge.

We work to create sustainable, long-term value for high-quality projects, with commercial structures shaped around individual project needs.

We share expertise and continually look for ways to strengthen project quality, performance and impact.

Markets change and challenges arise. We use our experience, relationships and resources to help partners navigate them and build resilient projects.
Every partnership is different. Our support can span the full project lifecycle.
The path to a better future is built one success story at a time. See what we can achieve together.
The team at Climate Impact Partners was integral to the success of our project. Their experts had helped develop the Gold Standard cookstove project methodology we used. This meant they were well placed to assist us with project optimization, as well as securing the finance we needed through carbon credit generation and sales. They continue to provide us with the ongoing carbon market knowledge and expertise we need to expand.
The Climate Impact Partners team has bought the knowledge and experience we needed to scale our project. As a result of their input, we are now able to provide safe water to more people and deliver greater carbon savings as a result. Their expert advice has not only made the project financially sustainable, but helped us improve the effectiveness of our project, increasing our impact further. We could not have achieved this level of success without them.

We work with experienced carbon project developers as well as organisations with a strong track record of delivering impact that are newer to the carbon market.
What matters is the strength of the opportunity, the capability of the partner and the potential to deliver high-quality, measurable climate impact over the long term.
We work across nature-based and technology-based climate solutions, from protecting and restoring natural ecosystems to deploying technologies that reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions.
We look beyond the project category itself to the quality of the intervention and its potential to deliver lasting benefits for climate, nature and people.
We work with projects at different stages - from early concepts requiring feasibility, design and development support, through to established projects looking for carbon asset development, finance or access to buyers.
Where there is a strong opportunity, we can also lead project development ourselves and put experienced Climate Impact Partners people on the ground alongside local implementation partners.
We look for partners with strong local knowledge, high standards of conduct and the capability to deliver credible, measurable impact.
We also value partners that understand their local stakeholders and ecosystems, share our commitment to quality and are prepared to build a long-term, collaborative relationship.
Every project we take forward goes through our rigorous due diligence process.
We assess the fundamentals of carbon integrity - including whether climate benefits are real, measurable, additional and independently verified - alongside permanence, delivery risk, legal and commercial considerations, safeguards and wider impacts on people and nature.
External standards and ratings can inform our view, but they are only part of the picture. Our own technical expertise and, where relevant, first-hand insight from the field are central to our assessment.
Yes. Carbon finance will not be appropriate for every project.
We can assess the opportunity, explore relevant methodologies and standards, consider feasibility and economics, and help determine whether there is a credible route to generating carbon credits before significant development work begins.
Yes. Our project development teams can take an opportunity from feasibility and project design through carbon asset development and implementation. We can deploy our own people in the field and work alongside local partners, communities and technical specialists to deliver projects on the ground.
The right financing structure depends on the project.
We can help develop the funding and commercial strategy, structure forward offtake agreements and connect high-quality opportunities with our network of investors and corporate buyers. Our focus is on creating projects that are economically robust and can support credible delivery and long-term project success.
Our partnership continues.
We can support verification and issuance, bring credits to our established network of corporate buyers, communicate the project’s wider impact and continue working with partners to strengthen quality, manage risk and identify opportunities to sustain or scale impact.
