Carbon market broking expert joins Climate Impact Partners to expand Global Sourcing team

Dan Thompson, an expert in the carbon and sustainability markets with over 15 years’ experience, has joined Climate Impact Partners as Director of Global Sourcing.

In his role, Dan will lead the Climate Impact Partners’ sourcing team through both rapid growth and changing market dynamics, securing high quality projects for portfolios to meet increasing client demand for voluntary carbon market solutions.   

Dan’s recent experience includes building the European franchise of BGC Partners’ Environmental Brokerage Services business, where he worked with clients to reach their climate goals through specialist brokerage services in both compliance and voluntary carbon markets. Prior to that, he had been actively involved in scaling up the environmental product offering at TP ICAP including the development of a new green bonds initiative. Dan has extensive knowledge and expertise in mobilizing funding for investment in high quality projects with positive environmental and climate benefits.
