The partnership provides exclusive access to high-quality carbon removal credits, driving financial support for sustainable land management.  \u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Located in central Mississippi, the American Carbon Registry (ACR) certified \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.climateimpact.com\u002Fglobal-projects\u002Fmississippi-band-of-choctaw-indians-ifm-usa\u002F#:~:text=The%20forest%20carbon%20project%20is,benefits%20through%20permanent%20carbon%20storage.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Improved Forest Management project\u003C\u002Fa> spans nearly 75% of MBCI’s tribal lands. It enhances the carbon sequestration potential of the biodiverse forests by improving management practices, including reducing deforestation for commercial harvesting, extending harvest rotations, and implementing selective cutting to foster healthy growth across all tree ages and native seedling regeneration.  \u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Carbon finance generated by the project replaces revenue traditionally sourced from commercial timber harvesting, directly funding critical community needs.
