Sharing insights with governments in Central America

Location: Online
Date: 11 Oct 2022
Time: 12:00 - 13:30

Eddy Meléndez, Nature Based Solutions Technical Manager for Climate Impact Partners, will provide insights on the voluntary carbon market and its role in delivering Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

He was invited by the National Environmental Ministry from El Salvador and by UNEP through its GCF Project “Increasing the Ambition of the Nationally Determined Contributions and Climate Financing in Central America (NDC-5), a project supporting governments from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, to participate in a webinar and share insights, experiences, and best practices in the voluntary carbon market. His particular focus will be on our work with our exclusive project partner, Ecofiltro, which provides clean water to rural communities throughout Guatemala.

"Working with governments and leading organizations like NDC-5 to support an increase in the number of carbon projects in the Central American and Caribbean region is essential to delivering solutions and results for real climate impact."
