Clean Cooking Week, hosted by the Clean Cooking Association of Kenya and the Ministry of Energy, aims to create an enabling environment for access and adoption of clean cooking fuels and technologies through a sustainable market environment. The theme of the week will be “Transforming the Enabling Environment to Achieve Universal Access to Clean Cooking by 2028.”
The event will involve discussions with clean cooking sector stakeholders on policy and budget lobbying; capacity strengthening; consideration of the clean cooking agenda at the national and county levels; social behavior change towards clean cooking; demonstration of clean cooking fuels and technologies sold in the Kenyan markets; knowledge exchange; and media engagement to create awareness and increase publicity that is geared towards accelerating access to clean cooking by 2028.
Climate Impact Partners staff will be attending the event. Tom Owino, Projects and Technical Director, will join a session on financing clean cooking for the energy transition.
